Dental Radiology: Understanding the X-Ray Image

Dental Radiology provides a broad overview of the normal and abnormal appearance of teeth and jaws on x-ray images. Abnormalities are grouped according to their location or their main presenting feature. Recognition of abnormalities, and interpretation of their radiographic appearance is assisted by a clear review of normal appearances and the production of the standard x-ray views used in dentistry. This book is directed toward dental students, postgraduate students, and dental hygienists. The contents present a good diagnostic view, along with the technique involved in dental radiology. This book is designed with the dental student in mind. "The purpose of this text is to enhance one's radiological diagnostic skill and to introduce pathologies as they are presented on the films. One other point of the book is to describe a history of radiology techniques. "Students and auxiliaries, as well as postgraduate students, will benefit from this text. It is mainly geared for the second year and above. Anyone with radiographic experience is a good candidate for this book. "Excellent photos of x-rays and the techniques of taking films are present. Many different views of pathologies using different films and angles are included. "This is an excellent reference for all the dental specialties. I recommend this text for students as well as anyone in the field. This book will make a good resource text for research and teaching radiology. It is an extremely well documented text with lots of pictures of x-ray pathologies.
