Although it is a fairly complete reference of technique, the book lacks a dramatic, sophisticated appeal that the use of photographs and actual patient case studies may have added. The chapters devoted to technique are significantly stronger and more developed than those pertaining to beauty, patient selection, and potential complications and their prevention. The book serves as an excellent reference for the novice and should help broaden the appeal of craniofacial work beyond its roots in reconstructive surgery.
