The book features a few quality-colored illustrations and a good table of contents. This is an attractive, slim, hardcover book which, due to its concise structure, will prove valuable to the busy clinician as a ready reference in the diagnosis and management of headache. It offers the additional depth of electronic search references. I recommend this book for its clinical usability and references to the electronic library, which appear to be the first of their kind. A book/CD-ROM package delineating the clinical process of assessing and treating adult and pediatric headache patients in both office and hospital settings. Features easy-to-follow decision trees and color illustrations graphically demonstrating critical decision points. Comments keyed to specific decision nodes explain principles and give background information. Contains chapters on basic considerations, such as classification of headache and history and physical examination, and management of different types of headaches, including tension, migraine, cluster, and inflammatory headaches.
